Heather Dubbeldam is a Toronto-based architect and designer whose professional passion for modern architecture and design extends back several generations. Her academic studies and work experience in Italy, Turkey, France and Switzerland have influenced her design aesthetic and approach.
After completing her architectural studies at Carleton University School of Architecture in Ottawa (B.Arch, Honours, 1994), Heather worked with internationally recognized design architecture firm Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg (KPMB) for six years where she worked as project architect and team member on many significant public, private and institutional buildings.
As Vice-chair of the Toronto Society of Architects (TSA), Heather plays an active role in the design and architectural community, creating a positive influence on the direction of architecture in the city. She has been a key player in special projects including the award-winning Toronto Architecture Guide Map and editor of the TSA newsletter.
In addition to numerous other volunteer activities, Heather is on the board of the Design Industry Advisory Committee (DIAC, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting design to all levels of government) and has participated in several panel groups and design charettes.
